We are involved in providing education to illiterate adults and dropouts in villages. In the field of education, emphasis is laid to the children of farmers. Empowerment of Women is a necessity for the very development of a society, as it enhances both the quality and quantity of human resources available for development. MTT focuses on increasing the confidence levels of women, especially widows and divorcees by conducting various awareness programs in empowering them. We are constantly expanding our reach to serve people better due to which there is a constant demand of valuable human resource. We thus, welcome volunteers to join us full time/ part time to help us serve the people better.

COVID-19 RELIEF WORK

In the event of the COVID-19 pandemic, our Mother Teresa Trust (MTT) has been undertaking various relief measures from the month of April 2020, in the state of Tamilnadu especially in the districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Pondicherry, Uthagamandalam.

We (MTT) have been continuously distributing the daily necessities which include Rice, Groceries, Vegetables, etc., & as sanitation is the need of the hour, we are also distributing Sanitisers and face Masks to BPL (Below the Poverty Line) families which mainly constitute of daily wage labourers and the poor affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. We also provide cooked meals daily to about 100 Homeless and street dwellers impacted by repercussions caused by the pandemic.

Projects to be undertaken

OLD AGE HOME
To ensure access to the helpless and destitute 100 Old Aged persons to safe accommodation, tender love, proper care, nourishment, health service and other basic needs through establishment and operation of a sustainable Old Age Home in Chennai. This project is designed in such a way of addressing their psychological, economic, and physical problems. We require your valuable contribution for this noble cause.



HOUSE FOR CYCLONE AFFECTED VICTIMS
To construct durable houses for the victims affected by the Gaja Cyclone at low cost. This project has to be undertaken in the Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pudukottai districts soon as more than thousands of houses have been damaged. We have planned to Construct 600 houses (150/district) for the families who are in need of permanent settlement. We require your valuable contribution for this noble societal cause.

MOTHER TERESA TRUST (MTT) brought festive joy to over 200 underprivileged families in Pappanallur, near Vedanthangal, Chengalpet district. Mr. N. IRUDAYARAJ, Managing Trustee of MTT, organized a special program titled "CHRISTMAS - Charity To The Daily Wages People" at St. Theresa of Child Jesus Church, upholding the Trust's annual tradition of celebrating with those in need.

"Our MOTHER TERESA TRUST's ( MTT ) Managing Trustee Mr. N. IRUDAYARAJ distributed 15 items including 10 kg of GOOD QUALITY RICE & 14 nos of Provisions to a very poor & needy family in the Tambaram region." Our trust's volunteers Mr. Pushparaj & Mr. Vanathian were also present during the distribution. We provide you opportunities to share your “Joy of Giving” supporting our social cause. We are looking forward for more GENEROUS contributions from you to do more such Good deeds to help the poor.

"Our MOTHER TERESA TRUST's ( MTT ) Managing Trustee - Mr. N. IRUDAYARAJ donated Rs. 10000 to an underprivileged woman who was in urgent need for her medical expenses (Putturkattu). Expense for two sittings worth Rs. 5000 each were donated. We were happy to help and believe in the saying, "the smallest act of caring, has the potential to turn a life around.”

"Our MOTHER TERESA TRUST's - MTT Managing Trustee Mr. N IRUDAYARAJ successfully conducted an event for "FOOD DISTRIBUTION" to the Pilgrim Walkers of Annai Velankanni Shrine , Nagapattinam" at Tambaram, Chennai. The event was aimed to provide High Quality Food with Packaged Drinking Water to 200 Pilgrimage Walkers."
